Can
it be May? It was just Christmas a few weeks ago, I think.
Or
another year is almost complete at St. Benedict and we will see yet
another 8th Grade Class move on to High School.
It's
hard to think that these were the 5th Graders who I taught my first
year; a special group and I will miss them.
But
we still have a few weeks, a huge musical and a spring concert before
it is over.
In
class this month, a lot of our focus will be on the Spring Concert,
Vacationing in America.
Each
class will be presenting their own tribute to a different aspect of
what makes our Nation a great and fun place to live.
They
have all worked very hard choosing, rehearsing and staging each song
and I have a feeling this will be one of the best ever.
But
before the concert, we have our Spring Musical, Disney's Beauty and
the Beast Jr. on May 7th.
The
cast is till putting in hours of serious work to prepare for this
difficult but incredibly fun show.
Some
of St. Benedict's brightest talent will be on stage to bring this
family favorite to life and I know everyone will be proud.
So we are tying up all the loose ends and making sure that the school
year ends with a bang.
I'm
so happy to be a part of the St. Benedict family and I'm so grateful
for Mrs. Rys and the rest of the Faculty,
who
are always so patient with whatever crazy scheme I have dreamed up.
And
I'm so proud of the progress made by all of our students, from the
singers who got better and
better
to the non-singer who discovered something new about music that they
will take with them to high school.
And
don't forget, I'll be directing the BAC's Summer Teen production of
Little Shop of Horrors
and
producing our preteen production of Schoolhouse Rock Live.
I
would love to see you all there.
Well,
back to work....
