The projects for African
American History Month were great and the class learned so much from the
presentations.
Lent has begun. The children have an individual cross that
they will glorify. With each act of
kindness the children will color in one section of their cross. The crosses will be used at the prayer
service during Holy Week.
Terra Nova tests begin
on Monday, March 2,2009. Students need
to have a good nights sleep and a healthy breakfast each day. Please send a healthy snack and drink for
the morning break. Test results will be
sent home in May.
In Social Studies the
students are identifying United States symbols and holidays.
In Science the students
are having a great time doing many activities using scales and magnets.
We have completed another
reader. A new vocabulary list will be
sent home Friday.
The trimester ended on
February 28, 2009. The new Accelerated
Reading goal will be 4.0 points.
Most of the class
achieved their reading goals for the second trimester. Let’s try for the entire class this last
trimester!
