First Grade
May 2010
This is a very busy month.
Look for Terra Nova test
results soon.
The great spring concert is May 20th.
Details on what the children are to wear are forthcoming.
The students are almost finished with their last reader.
I am so proud of their progress. Please continue to have the children
read nightly.
In Math the students are adding and subtracting facts to 20.
Continue working on time, money, and place value.
In Social Studies the students are studying Economics,
Why people Work. Talk to
your child about your job.
In Science the students are learning about Mass, Physical Science, Force and Magnets.
They will enjoy “playing” with magnets.
In Religion the students are learning about the Mass.
This is the last trimester of First Grade
let’s all achieve the Accelerated Reading Goal!
