Accelerated Reader Quiz List

LIBRARY NEWS
June 2009

It is hard to believe this is the last newsletter of the year.
After such a hard winter, it is wonderful to see the trees budding
and the flowers starting to bloom.
Since summer vacation will soon be  here,
I  have a few suggestions to help students keep up their reading skills.
For grades 1 thru 3 read at least a half-hour every day
and for grades 4 thru 8 read at least one hour a day.

That way when you start school in the fall, you won’t be behind.

Also, parents make sure your child has a library card.
Most libraries have reading programs in the summer
and that helps guide the student’s reading.
Also, the library offer a variety of books on all subjects.
Therefore, it is not hard to find a book on something of your interest.
Students don’t have to read an AR book this summer.  They can read what they like.
Librarians are always glad to answer question, help you find a book or check on a book for you.

Just ask and they will help you.  Besides books at the library, you can find cds and dvds.

Many of the students have had a successful year in the

Accelerated Reading program due to consistent reading.

Congratulations to the eighth grade students on their graduation!

Good Luck next year.  Enjoy High School.

Have a Happy and Safe Summer!

See you next August!
