Feast of St Joseph Mar 19

Prayer on St. Joseph’s Day

May Joseph’s example teach us to be more

loyal, trusting and obedient, honoring our

commitments to God and others with grace

and love. May we learn from the earthly father

of our Lord how better to please our Father above.

March-2010 J

Spring is right around the corner and hopefully the snow will cease! As eighth graders approach the last trimester here at St. Benedict’s lets remember them in our prayers. May God bless them with the knowledge and diligence to keep working hard and keep up their grades!

Math

Geometry is the shaping junior high math class these days. Lines, angles, shapes, Oh My!! But wait, PI day radiates around, approximately halfway through March.  Did you know with the use of computers, Pi(π) has been calculated to over 1 trillion digits past the decimal? Pi is an irrational number meaning it will continue infinitely without repeating.

Science:

We continue discovering ecology and environmental science. Interactions of Life and Ecosystems have been an exciting adventure, already our radishes have sprouted and

Religion:

We have begun our Lenten journey. Eighth graders paired up with the seventh graders make daily sacrifices and change some of the bad habits. We start each day with a prayer and a sacrifice, and thus far we have sacrificed talking in the hallway and trying very hard to avoid negative distractions.  All the students are doing a great job sacrificing and showing their respect to Jesus!! Way to go Jr. High!!

God Bless,

Mrs. Pratl
