HAPPY
ST. PATRICK'S DAY!
February has come and gone. During that time, we had our Valentine's Day Party and a holiday for President's Day.
The fourth graders have completed their study of the third commandment.
They are now working in their Lenten Booklets daily.
Math has us dividing 3-digit numbers by 1-digit numbers with/without remainders.
We are beginning our study of verbs---starting with action verbs.
In reading, we read the novel Charlotte's Web by E.B. White.
The fourth graders enjoyed the antics of Wilbur and Charlotte---even Templeton the Rat!
We had discussions, made mobiles, and filled in Attribute Webs, Venn Diagrams, Cause-Effect Charts, and T-Charts.
Also, the fourth graders played the Charlotte's Web Memory Game and watched the movie.
The students are working on African American Heroes Booklets and also
they are learning about how the landscape of the Midwest was formed in social studies.
In science, we are studying water and the continuous interchange between the Earth's surface and the atmosphere.
