
Happy New Year! January is a wonderful time to start fresh, make resolutions, and work up to FULL potential.
The sixth graders
are willing to do all of these.
The guidelines for the 70's Era Projects have been sent home.
The reports and displays will be very interesting and prove just how "dy-no-mite" things were in the 70's.
During Catholic
Schools Week, the sixth grade classroom will be transformed into one that
reflects the 1970's.
We will continue working in the Science lab.
The next Investigation will be "What do Owls Eat?"
This lab will
reinforce concepts taught during the unit on ecosystems.

The seventh grade Social Studies class will begin an interesting unit on the American Revolution.
We will examine
how the colonists struggled to gain independence from England.
The eighth grade Social Studies class will begin to study immigration of the 1900's.
We will discover
how America became known as the land of opportunity.
Prophets of the Old Testament will be the theme of Religion class.
We will discuss and role play ways to be modern day prophets.
