Emergency Closing

Should it be necessary for St. Benedict School to close because of extremely severe local conditions, the following procedures have been adopted:
1. If District #130 is closed, ordinarily St. Benedict School
will close. This applies only to "snow days" or other severe weather
conditions. The principal however will make the final decision.
2. If District #130 is not closed and the administration feels that it would be advisable to close, St. Benedict School will be closed.
3. If
school is going to be closed, the following procedure will be followed:
A. Chicago radio stations WGN 720, and WBBM 78 will be notified so listen
for information.
B. A "Round Robin" will be sent to the faculty, personnel, and room
mothers who will contact parents.
C. School closing information will be given to www.EmergencyClosings.com
